The candidates who possess Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.E. in the branch corresponding to their branch of study.

BSc candidates who studied Mathematics at +2 Level (10+2+3 stream) or studied Mathematics as core or ancillary subjects at the BSc level are eligible to apply for admission to the third Semester of B.E.
Marks Eligibility for Lateral Entry Candidates is given below:

Qualifying Examination
Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent
OC 55%
BC 50%
MBC/ DNC 45%
SC/ ST Pass in the Qualifying Exam



# Note:

(i) For full time diploma Diploma/BSc candidates, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 6th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
(ii) For students joined Diploma under Lateral Entry Mode, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 3rd Semester to 6th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
(iii) For Sandwich Diploma students, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 7th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.
(iii) For Part Time Diploma students, overall % marks obtained by the candidate from 1st Semester to 8th Semester is considered for calculation of minimum eligibility marks.

Unfortunately in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeeth University diploma holders are not eligible to apply for the courses.

It's on their official website, you can check the lost of frequently asked questions on their website, you will get your answer to verify.

It will be better if you try in some other universities which are same as Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeeth University who allow the lateral entry admissions in their courses.
