Hello,
Everyone has different ways to prepare for the examinations. You need to find out which way and time-table is suitable for you. Your mind will be fresh and active at the beginning of the day as the day passes the activeness decrease so the appropriate time to start studying is early in the morning but it may be different for each individual. So you need to know if you can study well during the day as well as night and prepare a time table accordingly. One can focus for not more than 45 minutes to 60 minutes so it is essential to take minimum 10-15 minutes break after studying for 45 minutes to 60 minutes. So you can prepare an hourly schedule and study so that you can study effectively without feeling bored. While you take break do something that will not distract you entirely like walking, stretches or get some fresh air and drink some water. You need to revisit what you have studied so make time for revision of the topics which you have studied so as to remember those in the long run. Keep a separate note book to make notes and short notes. You can refer the short notes when the exam day is approaching. You may study for 4 hours or 8 hours in a day it all depends on which routine you can adapt and be consistent with. Solve mock tests and previous year papers. Keep track of your performance and rectify the mistakes that you are committing. You goal should be to perform well than you did yesterday each day. You need to be consistent and optimistic throughout your preparation. Intake healthy food and to feel active you need to incorporate physical activities in your daily routine such as walking, running, jogging, yoga, sports, swimming etc. To read more preparation tips click on the link below

Hey,
hope you are doing fine!
Its not a foolish question. these type of questions could arise in one's mind for preparing for an exam.
first of all it totally depends on you about how longer you can study continously.
According to me, you must take some short break in between because its a little tiring for our brain to work continuosly for a longer duration.
Another thing is, whether to study at night or in the morning? it depends totally on you. there are some who study early morning and some who study till late in the night, and both type performs well in their exam. so, i think you should try both and then decide in which way you are more comfortable in.
