hello!!!!!!!!!

let u1-u2 =v

Coefficient of restitution     =    v1 - v2 / u1 - u2

v1=m1-m2/m1+m2

= ((m-m/2) / m+m/2)*v

by solving, we get

=(1/3)v

similarly,v2=(4/3)v

then coefficient of restitution = (1/3 -4/3)*v /v

v gets cancelled

finally we get coefficient of restitution = -1

but coefficient of restitution will be positive

so coefficient of restitution = 1

I HOPE IT HELPS!!!!

Hey!

Impulse    J=ΔP

For X :   impulse :     −J=px−p        which means  px=p−J

For Y :   impulse :        J=py

Coefficient of restitution equation ,             (py−px) /(0-p)=−e

= py−px=ep

J−(p−J)=ep

Which means coefficient of restitution = e=[(2J) /p] −1

Hope it helps .
