Fees compared to other private colleges in Coimbatore, I would definitely say it is cheaper. Also, the academics is at par, if not better, except for PSG and Amrita.

When it comes to placements, I can vouch if you are from either Computer Science or Information Technology, there is a 90% probability that you would definitely get placed. Even though there are some good core companies coming to the campus for placements, students from other departments mostly end up in software companies. In the end, its really upto the students to beef up their skills to become industry ready.

SREC management does have a strange policy of not allowing students for company internships during their second or third year. They only allow students for research internships with universities. They do allow company internships during the final year but still that deprives the student of development and opportunity.

The college has a fair bit of reputation in Tamil Nadu being one of the top 10 engineering colleges in Coimbatore.
