Most of the programme admission is based on the National Level Entrance Exam conducted by SRM. There are few courses in which admission is direct. So, the admission is based upon the required minimum marks scored in the exam. There is a ranking system (cut-off) from which students get admission to their respective programs. The exam is also known as SRMJEE.

Admission criteria in SRM University differs according to different course.

Genral criteria for admission in SRM University for UG course is following:

Candidates should have passed their 10+2  standard from a recognized board.

Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% in their 10+2 standards.
