SSC je exam syllabus
Hello Vikash,
Staff Selection Commission releases the syllabus for SSC JE exam. As there are two papers, the SSC JE syllabus is divided separately for objective type computer based paper and conventional type written exam. SSC JE syllabus 2019 for paper 1 includes General Intelligence, General Awareness and General Engineering. Paper 2 has different topics and units defined separately for Electrical Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

SSC JE syllabus 2019 for paper 1 includes topics and sub-topics from General Intelligence, General Awareness and General Engineering. Paper 2 contains topics and units from Electrical Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. SSC JE exam is structured in two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2
The paper 1 is of SSC JE consists of General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and General Engineering (according to trade).
Candidates who gets the minimum qualifying marks in paper 1 are eligible to appear for paper 2 exam.
The paper 2 of SSC JE is divided into 3 different parts. Part A comprises of Civil & Structural Engineering whereas Part B is Electrical Engineering and Part C is Mechanical Engineering. candidate will be required to attempt only one part as per trade mentioned in application form.

The standard of the questions in Engineering subjects will be approximately of the level of Diploma in Engineering (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical) from a recognized Institute, Board or University recognized by All India Board of Technical Education. Here is the syllabus of SSC JE.

Electrical Engineering Basic concepts, Circuit law, Magnetic Circuit, AC Fundamentals, Measurement and Measuring instruments, Electrical Machines, Fractional Kilowatt Motors and single phase induction Motors, Synchronous Machines, Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Estimation and Costing, Utilization and Electrical Energy, Basic Electronics.
Part-C Mechanical Engineering
Theory of Machines and Machine Design, Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials, Properties of Pure Substances, 1st Law of Thermodynamics, 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, Air standard Cycles for IC Engines, IC Engine Performance, IC Engines Combustion, IC Engine Cooling & Lubrication, Rankine cycle of System, Boilers, Classification, Specification, Fitting & Accessories, Air Compressors & their cycles, Refrigeration cycles, Principle of Refrigeration Plant, Nozzles & Steam Turbines.
