Because The placements in PSG Tech is almost equal to the NITs.. For your information, PSG Tech is ranked 12th in India among all the engineering colleges .Refer to this recruiter list. The list of recruiters as you see are huge MNCs and have very good career growth for the candidates who get placed. The job profile they offer after an year of training is equal to the people getting recruited from NITs and IITs. The highest salary offered is around 20 lacs pa (in 2014 batch) for Computer Science Engg graduates. Anyhow it depends on industry and the stream you are in. But the top 40% of the students in each department get very competitive and challenging roles in their respective industries. The average salary of a batch is close to 4.5 lacs.
