>> Compund Microscope:

It uses glass lenses.
It uses a beam of light to illuminate the object .
This microscope does not require internal vacuum
It magnifies the object upto 2000 times.

>> Electron Microscope:

It uses elcetromagnets
It uses a beam of electrons to illuminate the object
In this case, internal vacuumm is mandatory.
Magnifies the object about 200,000 times.
