still confused on difference between general seats and management seats of Rajasthan state counseling because govt. seats, general seats and management seats are classified differently here. someone please give me a correct answer on this, not asking the difference between govt and management seats.
Hello Aspirant,
As per the information brochure released by Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical and Dental Admission/Counselling Board, and Principal & Controller, SMS Medical College, and Hospital, Jaipur for state quota counselling of NEET 2020 there will be only three kinds of seats namely Government, Management and NRI seats. These seats are categorized under 85% state quota of Rajasthan for MBBS/BDS courses.
Government seats are the seats kept reserved in the institutions for those aspirants who have domicile of that same state where the institution is located. For e.g. In Rajasthan government seats are reserved for Candidates having domicile of Rajasthan and if the seats are remain vacant then it will be transferred under Management quota seats.
Management quota seats are open to all means for these seats anybody who has qualified NEET from other state or from Rajasthan is eligible to get admission. Fee for management quota seats are quite high as compared to that of Government seats.
NRI seats are kept reserved for NRI candidates means those candidates who have born in India but resides in abroad and if they want to study medical courses from India then they can apply under NRI quota. Note that seats allotted under NRI quota are irrespective of any category such as OBC/General/SC/ST.
