A Bachelor of Science (BSc) with a specialisation in Biotechnology is a three-year undergraduate study that digs into numerous aspects of Biotechnology via the curriculum and disciplines taught. Biotechnology is described as the use of biological systems, living creatures, or components of them to produce or generate various goods.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have a minimum 60% aggregate i n the Class 12 Board exam in Science (50 per cent for reserved category candidates)

Students must have completed Biology in grades 11 and 12.

Although studying Mathematics as a subject in Class 11-12 is not required to apply for the BSc in Biotechnology course, students should have taken a Science stream and studied Biology as a key subject.

The only need is that you have some fundamental understanding of biology. You can select any discipline, such as computer science or biology. In grades 11 and 12.

If you study biology, you can choose to work in a variety of sectors, including biotechnology, general life science, biotechnology engineering, general engineering, veterinary medicine, pharmaceuticals, and computer-related biotechnology.

Some claim that computers can't be utilised in biotechnology.  That's incorrect. There is a separate sector for computers in biotechnology, such as bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, etc., and in order to become an expert, one must be knowledgeable in all of these areas.

Whatever you study, make sure you grasp the fundamentals thoroughly.
