Streams in btech to get robotics in mtech
M.Tech. in Robotics Engineering is a 2- year long course divided into 4 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. The program is designed for eligible candidates interested in designing, controlling and creating robotic systems.
Students enrolled to the course are taught automation, robotics engineering, and contexts and environments of robotics- creation on an advanced level. Automation and Robotics Engineering programs usually require candidates to complete live projects wherein they are needed to design, create and control successful robotic devices. Additionally, they are needed to research and write theses.
Through the curriculum, students have the option of choosing from several different robotics specialties such as Industrial Robotics, Robotics Theory, Healthcare Robotics, Aerospace Robotics, Computer Software Robotics, Automotive Robotics and others.
The course essentially focuses on mathematical foundations, engineering theories, practical implementation, testing, and control of robotic devices, besides substantial laboratory work in automation and robotics.
The average annual course fee in India ranges between INR 1 and 3 Lacs, depending upon the institute offering the course. The basic eligibility criterion to pursue the course is graduation (B.Tech.) completed in any engineering discipline with a minimum aggregate score of 55% or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university.
For availing admission to M.Tech. colleges, applicants are needed to appear for the GATE, and obtain a valid score therein. The admission process also includes an an additional round of interview.
