Any student who completed their BTech from any certified university can appear in MTech entrance exam.So if are eligible for any exam for MTech you can appear they have no issue with your college if it is certified.

The only eligibility criteria for appearing in GATE examination for admission in M.Tech courses is as follows:

• Candidate must have a Bachelor degree (4 years after 10+2 or 3-years after Diploma in Engineering/Technology) in Engineering/ Technology or currently in the final year of the degree.
• Year of qualification must not be later than 2019.

So yes, if you fulfill above eligibility criteria after completion of b.tech degree from VIT, you are eligible for m.tech entrance examination.
