Correct Answer: 5 : 3
Solution :
As per the graph,
The number of boys in a school = $\frac{1}{2}$(Total number of students in the school + Difference between the number of boys and girls in school E)
The number of boys in a school = $\frac{1}{2}$(2800 + 700) = 1750
Number of girls in a school = Total number of students in the school – Number of boys in the school
Number of girls in a school = 2800 – 1750 = 1050
The ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls in school E = 1750 ∶ 1050 = 5 ∶ 3
Hence, the correct answer is 5 ∶ 3.
