Correct Answer: 2016
Solution :
The total exports of computers in 6 years (in thousands) = 140 + 240 + 200 + 350 + 300 + 270 = 1500 The number of years = 6 Average = $\frac{\text{Sum of all the observations}}{{\text{Total number of observations}}}$ Average export $=\frac{1500}{6} = 250$ Now, 16% more than 250 $= 250 × \frac{116}{100} = 290$ In the year 2016, the production of computers is 290 (in thousands). Hence, the correct answer is 2016.
