Sakshi, lets say you belong to Bihar. But you want to apply for a seat in Govt. Medical College in Tamilnadu. Then you have to appear for All India Counselling for admission to MBBS in any other College except for Bihar. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh do not participate in All India Counselling and so even they are exempted. But if you want to apply for a seat in Bihar, then you have to participate in Bihar State Counselling. Except for Karnataka and any other State whose domicile you hold, you cannot participate in any other State Counsellings. For all this, NEET is the only common entrance examination. There is no separate State Board Medical Exam. For any guidance during counselling and admission, you can use our MBBS Companion: https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion
Hi,
Well you need to know that neet is the only exam that all the medical aspirants have to qualify to take admission in different medical and dental courses. Its just that central quota and state quota counseling are organised separately and that is why you need to register for counseling accordingly.
I hope my answer helps.
All the best.
