Suppose someone got 86 percentile in JEE MAIN alril attempt , so his/her's rank would be decided among the students gave exam in april attempt or from total no. of students including the new registrations in 2nd attempt

Dear Aspirant,

The total number of students in any attempt higher then the other will be considered in making of the rank list. So if you have suppose 90 percentile in the Jan attempt and the total no of test taker is 11 lakh then your rank will be somewhere around  1,11,000 but if the number of the test takers go up in the July attempt to say 12 lakh then your rank will be 1,12,000 apporx.
