Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud is an esteemed Indian jurist and the 50th Chief Justice of India, assuming office in November 2022. He became a Supreme Court judge in May 2016, following his tenure as Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court from 2013 to 2016 and as a judge of the Bombay High Court from 2000 to 2013. Chandrachud also served as the executive chairperson of the National Legal Services Authority.
