Of the eight, the NMC has already given permission for four new medical colleges to open in the districts of Jagtial, Nagarkurnool, Sangareddy, and Wanaparthy as of this academic year. Permissions for the other four medical colleges, which are located in Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Kothagudem, and Ramagundam, are anticipated in the upcoming weeks.
There will be 150 MBBS seats available at each of the eight medical institutions, for a total of 1,200 additional medical seats. In Telangana, there are already close to 1,700 government MBBS seats available, and the extra 1,200 seats will bring the entire number of medical seats in government teaching hospitals to close to 3,000.
