Tell me about CAT exam for MBA
CAT Exam (Common Admission Test) is a computer based selection test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as a prerequisite for their business administration programs. Apart from the IIMs, the CAT is also a prerequisite for admissions into numerous other prestigious management colleges across India which includes institutes like S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Management Development Institute (Gurgaon), Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), International Management Institute (IMI), National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) and several others.
The CAT exam is conducted every year by IIM’s on rotational basis and the CAT exam dates are generally declared in the month of August every year by the conducting IIM.

Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Managemnet (IIMs). It is the largest MBA entrance exam in India for admissions in IIMs, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, IITs and hundreds of other top MBA colleges in India.
CAT is a 3 hours aptitude test consisting 100 questions carrying 3 marks each question (maximum marks 300 ). The exam comprises three areas or section Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Data Intepretation and Logical Reasoning (LRDI).
