NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Dear Reddy, NEET will be held for 3 hours for 180 questions in Multiple Choice Format. That means technically, its 1 minute for 1 question. 90 questions are asked from Biology (Botany & Zoology), 45 Questions from Physics and 45 Questions from Chemistry. Now there is also Negative Marking for NEET which means every correct answer gets you 4 marks but incorrect answer takes away 1 mark. Unattempted questions neither give you a mark nor take away a mark. Now with lakhs of students appearing for this exam, it is a possibility that many students get the same score. And there is a process to rank those students based on few parameters. The Candidate who scores better marks in Biology is preferred over the other candidates. And say if there are 10000 people who scored the same score in NEET, those candidates who scored better in Biology will be preferred. Let's say that no. is 1000. Now among those 1000 candidates, say 300 scored better in Chemistry than the rest 700. They will be preferred. Now among those 300, lets say 100 people attempted less wrong answers. Those 100 will be given preference. Among these 100, the oldest in the terms of age will be given that rank.
