The National Talent Search Examination is organised by NCERT (for students studying in class 10) and it  holds two exams namely stage 1 and stage 2 where stage one is the state level test and stage two is the national level test. Meritorious students, on the basis of their results are awarded certain scholarships. The last date to apply for NTSE is last week of August/ first week of September (not notified yet) and the stage 1 exams will be conducted in november.
