Tell me about the cutoff related to NEET

hi saksham, it all depends on what category you belong to and what reservation you have, whether you have state quota or not , but i would suggest that aim for 580 plus, its high , i know but absolutely doable , so aim for it.NEET 2018 Examination is most likely to be held on 10th May (Thursday) 2018 . NEET 2018 Application Form will be released in the month of January 2018.CBSE conducts NEET for admission across all medical colleges in india except aiims,and jipmer.The exam pattern is as follows:-

physics-45 questions each carrying 4 marks

chemistry-45 questions,each carrying 4 marks

and biology 90 questions each carrying 4 marks as well.hope this helps good luck

See qualifying for Neet as Pelli down with the Medical Council of India is not a big headache because you just need to score above the 50th percentile having got 50% aggregate in each of physics chemistry and Biology in your board, which makes you eligible for counselling for all India and state quota seats of private and Government Medical and Dental colleges throughout India

And OBC categorisation basically has no much practical utility in the counselling procedure because you are almost dealt in the same manner as the open or unreserved category

So if you score above 360 out of 720 you become eligible for counselling, but the biggest problem or frustration which you might face if you scod just somewhere around the benchmark below 400, is the dirth of getting into a collage with seems decent

If the sole purpose is just to get a qualification on paper then scoring 360 is fine comma however I would recommend that you at least try for a score above 400 very new fancy your chances of getting admitted to a good government college of BDS atleast in your state if not at the all India level

Is rightly pointed out before the cutoff vary from ear to ear sometimes it may vary around 450 or some last year that might even go up to 550 around for the general category

So your primary aim should be trying to score above 400 if possible above 450 so that you keep all your options open

It will be left for you to decide whether you are getting into a Medical College of Dental, preferably government is not private and at least we are you are 85% state counselling see if not the elite seats by the 15% all India counselling

Breast is completely subject to the standard of question papers on the performance of all the students of the year in which you are giving your Neet exam so that is not under your control and it would be best to you not to think about it

When it comes to cut offs, it varies every year depending on the level of difficulty of the question paper and how many students end up performing well in the examination. The mean score for securing a seat has lately been above 560 marks for OPEN CATEGORY students. The cut off scores can go higher next year or may drop down the score board. Nothing whatsoever can be said with absolute confidence unless NEET-UG for 2018 is conducted.

NEET Cut-Off will be based on several factors such as availability of seats, the number of candidates, and difficulty level of the examination etc. Cut-off is the basic and minimum score which have to be secured by the candidate in order to qualify the examination.But you dont bother about that.at the end of the day  what matters is your NEET rank, not the cutoff.Prepare accordingly.

The cut off score of NEET 2017 has been released along with the result on June 23, 2017. The exam conducting authority, CBSE has released the cut off score of NEET 2017 for all categories.The NEET 2017 cut off is the qualifying score/percentile for the test. It must be noted that NEET 2017 cut off score is the lowest possible marks a candidate must obtain in order to qualify NEET 2017.As per the NEET Cut Off 2017 data, unreserved candidates have to score in the bracket of 697 to 131 marks to clear the 50th percentile Cut Off requirement and be eligible for NEET 2017 Counselling. The cut off score of NEET 2017 is based on many factors such as number of candidates appeared in entrance exam, difficulty level of test, marking scheme, and most importantly, number of MBBS and BDS seats. In order to qualify NEET 2017, candidates belonging to General Category have to secure a minimum of 50 percentile score in the test, while, those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum cut off score to obtain is 40 percentile. NEET cutoffs are highly variable, and it is difficult to predict them before the exam.

For Reserved categories, a score of 300 is quite good for getting into an esteemed medical college.

The cutoff specifically for the OBC category would be somewhere around the 48th percentile which technically be around 360 out of 720 wherein you can expect to score somewhere around 180 to 200 in your biology and the rest of the marks from your Physics and Chemistry depending on how well versed you are in each subject.

There is no specific criteria on as to how much marks have to get per subject other than the fact that you have to pass your class 12 board examinations by the date of your counseling by at least getting 50% for Neet individually as well as in the total.

Needless to say the priority will be mostly based on your performance in biology and Chemistry in the event of a tie in your total marks with other students who have given the exam along with you.

If you are attempting BDS with OBC category try to score above 325 to 330 that is the minimum you should aim for. Anything in excess of 350 will be an added bonus to you.

If you are attempting MBBS then for the most inferior colleges or Private seats you have to score somewhere above 360.

Getting into BDS for MBBS in reputed colleges usko should be a minimum of 420 above for dental and 450 above or even 500 for medical.
