Greetings,

There is no specific marks margin for entering into medical colleges. As long as you are getting above the cut-off score you're eligible for admission into a medical college. But all who get above the cut-off score do not get admission to a medical college. The prime reason being there aren't so many seats available. The rank that you get will decide which medical college you can opt for.

The cut-off score fluctuates every year. It is difficult to determine an approximate safe margin for marks. But if you so deem it fit then you can follow the trends in the fluctuations of cut-off scores every year until you get a brief idea of how much it might change in the upcoming year.

It would be unwise to set a target score for oneself and try to achieve it. That would be limiting the score that could have been achieved by a major margin. It is always wise to try and achieve the maximum marks attainable. That is the best way to approach the entrance exam.

Wish you all the best.
