Hello,
IITs are the autonomous Engineering institutes, which are among the top Institutes of India and admission to these Institutes is one of the most difficult tasks for every student.Getting admitted to IITs is dream of most of the science student’s . Every year around 12-14 lakh students appear for JEE with of hope of getting into IITs but this dream comes true only for 10000 of them.
Unfortunately there is no other way of getting admission in IITs other that clearing JEE Advance (For B.Tech)
However, you can get into IITs for other courses like M.Sc., M.Tech., MA in Humanities, PhD etc. without appearing/clearing JEE Advance
For Courses like M.Sc., M.Tech., MA in Humanities, PhD etc in IITs one can get admission through these exams
- JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc)
- CAT (Common Admission Test)
- CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design)
- HSCE (Humanities & Social Science Exam)
- UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design)
- GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)
Hope this was helpful
For B tech and B Arch from IIT there is only one way and that is JEE Advance for other undergrad course that is B Des offered by IIT Bombay and IIT Guwahati you need to appear for UCEED. For M tech you have GATE and for MSc you need to appear for JAM.
