Hi aspirant,

In first year each student of every branch has to study same subjects namely : Electrical, electronics, English, Mathematics 1and 2, Physics 1, Design Thinking, engineering graphics and chemistry1.

After first year, student study the subjects related to their branch like students of chemical engineering study mainly chemistry, maths and biology and Petroleum Engineering students study mainly geology, maths and drilling.

So the course you will chose will include different subjects than other branches and it will be related to your stream so that you may perform better in your future.
