Hello Aspirant,

Jaypee CSE is the better option. The reasons being:

1. Previously, Thapar was a much better college when compared to JIIT, but it has now been blighted by several quotas for Punjabi students, thereby diminishing the quality of students with drastic cutoff reductions. There has been an exponential increase in the number of seats, which have also contributed to modest cutoffs. The JEE Main rank cutoff for JP CSE stood at a respectable 51000 in 2019 while the cutoff for Punjab students in the 2nd round of counselling for the ECE branch stood at 257,000, making the gap in quality conspicuous.

2. Location, too, plays a vital role in your decision. While Patiala is indeed a growing city, it pales in comparison with NCR, especially when considering places like Gurgaon and Noida. NCR has also become the new IT Hub and is hence a hotspot for jobs and other opportunities, particularly for CSE students. Thus, Jaypee CSE is the better option among the two.

Both of these colleges are well enough, but I will suggest you to choose Thapar University, since it has high packages, excellent faculty members. Thapar University is better recognised than Jaypee. Also thapar university is ahead of jaypee be it in placement field or infrastructure.

So, if you have an opportunity to go in thapar i would highly recommend you to choose this college for better future.

All the best.

Hello, For deciding about college first you decide about branch, and my suggestion to you is go for CSE but the final decision is yours.

And if we talk about college than both colleges are better but go for Thapar it is more better than jiit and in the counselling then gave you EIC than take it and working good in your 1 semester so they promote you to CSE.

Hope it will helpful for you and you also got your answer :)

Hey,
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology,Patiala and Jaypee Institute of Information Technology,Noida are fine at their respective places. Both have good infrastructure and good set of faculty members. You will learn and grow. The placement cell of both the colleges are good, however everything depends on your hardwork and individual skills that will determine your success. So,it entirely depends on your calling.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
