Solution : Given: The average age of Kishore, his wife, and their child 6 years ago was 38 years and that of his wife and their child 8 years ago was 32 years. The total age of the 3 individuals 6 years prior is 38 × 3 = 114 years. The current total age of all 3 individuals = 114 + (6 × 3) = 132 years. The total age of Kishore's wife and child 8 years ago was 32 × 2 = 64 years. The current combined age of the wife and child = 64 + (8 × 2) = 80 years. The present age of Kishore = 132 – 80 = 52 years. Hence, the correct answer is 52 years.
