Dear simran,
Let me help you to solve this question
  • The sum of the original n number is 32n
  • If 3/4th of the numbers are each increased by 4 their sum and therefore the sum of n increases by 3/4n X 4=3n
  • If 1/4th each decreased by 6 their sum and therefore the sum of all n number decreases by 1/4n X 6=3n/2
  • New sum is 32n + 3n - 3n/2 = 67n/2
  • New average is 33.5
