Correct Answer: 12 kg

Solution : The average weight of A, B, and C = 40 kg
The sum of the weights of A, B, and C = 3 × 40 = 120
The average weight of A and B = 35 kg
The sum of the weights of A and B = 2 × 35 = 70
Weight of C = (A + B + C)'s weight – (A + B)'s weight = 120 – 70 = 50
The average weight of B and C = 31 kg
The sum of the weights of B and C = 2 × 31 = 62 kg
So, the weight of B = 62 – 50 =12 kg
Hence, the correct answer is 12 kg.
