Question : The bar graph given below shows the foreign trade by two countries A and B in 5 different years.


J1 = The total foreign trade by country A in all 5 years.
J2 = The total foreign trade by country B in all 5 years.
What is the value of (J2 – J1)?

Correct Answer: 115


Solution : From the bar graph,
- For country A (J1): 170 + 150 + 75 + 65 + 35 = 495
- For country B (J2): 45 + 105 + 195 + 175 + 90 = 610
So, the value of (J2 – J1) = 610 – 495 = 115
Hence, the correct answer is 115.
