Correct Answer: 46.2
Solution : Let the speed of the bus be $x$ km/hr. Speed of car = 75 km/hr Their relative speed = $(75 - x)$ km/hr Total distance covered in 15 sec = (80 + 40) = 120 m According to the question, $ (75-x)\times\frac{5}{18} = \frac{120}{15}$ $\Rightarrow (75-x)\times \frac{5}{18} = 8$ $\Rightarrow 375-5x=144$ $\Rightarrow 5x= 231$ $\therefore x =46.2$ km/hr Hence, the correct answer is 46.2 km/hr.
