Hi there,

The element with atomic number 36 which is KRYPTON belongs to p block in the periodic table. Electronic Configuration of Atomic Number 36 is

1s2,2s2,2p6,3s2,3p6,3d10,4s2,4p2.

Since, the last electron is present in the p subshell so this element is present in p block.

In periodic table, the element 36 is krypton .
Krypton is a noble gas having electron shells : K2 L8 M18 N9 and electronic configuration as - [Ar]3d10 4s2 4p6
And all the noble gas belongs to the p block of periodic table.

So, Krypton too belongs to p block.
The group number of Krypton is - 18. And the period number is - 4. And it's group is VIII A.
