Correct Answer: 240

Solution : Given: The ratio of the number of students in colleges P, Q, R, S, and T is 2 : 4 : 3 : 1 : 3, respectively.
There are 25 selected students from college P.
The number of college students selected from college P = 5% = 25
So, 100% = 500
The total number of college students from college P = 500
The total number of college students in college P = $\frac{500}{2}\times 4$ = 1000
The total number of college students in college Q = $\frac{500}{2}\times 3$ = 750
The total number of college students in college R = $\frac{500}{2}\times 1$ = 250
The total number of college students in college S = $\frac{500}{2}\times 3$ = 750
The total number of students selected for the quiz
= 5% of 500 + 6% of 1000 + 10% of 750 + 8% of 250 + 8% of 750
= 25 + 60 + 75 + 20 + 60 = 240 students
Hence, the correct answer is 240.
