Correct Answer: 44%


Solution : Total number of students = 680 + 720 + 428 + 920 + 1100 = 3848
Number of students passed = 320 + 400 + 312 + 480 + 640 = 2152
Number of students failed = 3848 – 2152 = 1696
Required percentage = $\frac{1696}{3848}×100$ = 44.07% ~ 44%
Hence, the correct answer is 44%.
