Question : The following table shows the number of chairs made of plastic and steel in 5 different colours that were sold from a furniture showroom during a sale.

The total number of chairs of colour C3 sold are what percentage of all the chairs of these 5 colours sold, both plastic and steel ones put together? [Correct your answer to 2 decimal places.]

Solution : According to the question:
The total number of chairs of colour C3 = 8 + 14 = 22
The total number of chairs in these 5 colours sold, both plastic and steel ones
= 10 + 12 + 8 + 6 + 9 + 12 + 6 + 14 + 18 + 11 = 106
Percentage of C3 = $\frac{22}{106} \times 100$ = 20.75%.
Hence, the correct answer is 20.75%.
