Hello there. Hope you are doing good. I would like to tell you that the income certificate is different from EWS (Economically Weaker Section). Income certificate is required to make EWS certificate as it prove the income of an individual.

No, both are not same. EWS certificate is an income and asset certificate issued to economically weaker category.
However, income certificate certifies your income for the past year. It doesn't show your caste. Income certificate is necessary for EWS certificate but is not the same.
