A prokaryote is a relatively simple single celled organism. Previously there had been only one kingdom of prokaryotes known as Monera

But as Scientist discovered new and more forms of life new kingdom had to be created. there are two prokaryotic kingdoms , Eubacteria and Archaea.

Monera is the  Kingdom that contains prokaryotes.

EXPLANATION

Prokaryotes are single celled organism that lack a true nucleus, that is , they have nucleus which is not bounded by nuclear envelope and Monera  Kingdom contains of prokaryotes only like eubacteria and archaebacteria.
