Correct Answer: INR 11,220
Solution : Given: The length, breadth, and height of a hall are 10 m, 20 m, and 15 m, respectively. The total area of the four walls of the hall = 2 × height (length + breadth) = 2 × 15 (10 + 20) m 2 = 30 × 30 = 900 m 2 The area of the ceiling = length × breadth = 10 × 20 = 200 m 2 So, the total area to be whitewashed = 900 + 200 = 1100 m 2 $\therefore$ The cost of painting the hall's walls and ceiling = 1100 × 10.20 = 11,220 Hence, the correct answer is INR 11,220.
