Correct Answer: 1440 cm 2

Solution : Given: The length $l$ of a cuboid is half of its breadth $b$ and the height $h$ of the cuboid is thrice of its breadth.
The breadth of the cuboid is 12 cm.
According to the question,
$l=\frac{12}{2}=6$ cm, $b=12$ cm and $h=3\times 12=36$ cm
The total surface area of the cuboid of length $l$, breadth $b$, and height $h$
$=2(lb+bh+lh)$
$=2\times(6\times 12+12\times 36+36\times 6)$
$=2\times(72+432+216)$
$=2\times 720=1440$ cm 2
Hence, the correct answer is 1440 cm 2 .
