Question : The line chart given below shows the GDP of two countries L and M in five different years.

$J1$ = The value of the average GDP of countries L and M in year Y1.
$J2$ = The value of the average GDP of countries L and M in year Y4.
What is the value of $(\frac{J1}{J2})$?

Option 2: 2.36

Correct Answer: 2.36


Solution : Given $J1$ = Average GDP of countries L and M in year Y1.
$J1$ = $\frac{315 + 205 }{2}$= 260
$J2$ = Average GDP of countries L and M in year Y4.
$J2$ =$\frac{ 105 + 115 }{2}$= 110
$\therefore \frac{J1}{J2} = \frac{260}{110} = \frac{26}{11} = 2.36$
Hence, the correct answer is 2.36.
