Question : The pie chart given below shows the number of boys in 8 schools. The total number of boys in all these 8 schools is 10,000. Number of boys in a particular school is shown as a percentage of total number of boys in all these 8 schools.



What is the ratio of the total central angle formed by sectors C, D, and F to the total central angle formed by sectors A, G, and H?

Correct Answer: 20 : 43


Solution : Total central angle formed by sector C, D, and F = (12% + 2% + 6%) × 360° = 72°
Total central angle formed by sector A, G, and H = (19% + 14% + 10%) × 360° = 154.8°
So, the required ratio = 72° : 154.8° = 20 : 43
Hence, the correct answer is 20 : 43.
