Correct Answer: 10 : 9
Solution :
Total = 5000
We have to find the ratio of the number of girls in school A to the number of girls in school E
Number of girls in school A = 20% of 5000
$=\frac{20}{100}\times 5000 = 1000$
Number of girls in school E = 18% of 5000
$=\frac{18}{100}\times5000 = 900$
⇒ Ratio = $\frac{1000}{900}=\frac{10}{9}$
Hence, the correct answer is 10 : 9.
