Question : The pie chart given below shows the production of 6 different factories. The total production of all these 6 factories is 17000. The production of a particular factory is shown as a percentage of the total production of all these 6 factories.
Which of the following statements is NOT correct?
I. The ratio of the production of P and R together to the production of Q and U together is 49 : 46.
II. The production of S and T together is 91.66% more than the production of P and Q together.
Option 1: Neither I nor II
Option 2: Only I
Option 3: Both I and II
Option 4: Only II
Correct Answer: Only II
Solution :
I.
Production of P and R = 19 + 30 = 49
Production of Q and U = 41 + 5 = 46
$\therefore$ Respective ratio = 49 : 46
Given ratio = 49 : 46
$\therefore$ This statement is correct.
II.
Production of S and T = 2 + 3 = 5
Production of P and Q = 19 + 41 = 60
Difference = 60 – 5 = 55
$\therefore$ Required percentage = $\frac{55}{60}\times100$ = 58.3% less
Given percentage difference = 99.66% more
$\therefore$ This statement is NOT correct.
Hence, the correct answer is Only II.
