Hi Simran,

So the population of a town is 1,00,000

As it increases by 10%, population after 1 year will be  1,10,000

Again, after two years, it will be 1,21,000

It decreases by 10%. So, the population after three years is 1,08,900

Again, it decreases by 10%. So, after four years, the total population of the town is 98,010.
