The impeachment procedure of the President is mentioned in Article 61 of the Indian Constitution. The President of India can be impeached for the violation of the constitution, and the impeachment process can be started by either House of Parliament. No such charge shall be preferred unless a 14-day notice is given to the President in writing, signed by not less than one-fourth of the total members of the house which has initiated the process. The resolution should be passed by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the total membership of the house.
