The reaction of cac2 with nitrogen is seen and observed in the manufacturing of ammonia:
CaC2+N2 ------> CaCN2+C (in the presence of heat)
CaCN2+3H2O ------- -> CaCO3+2NH3(at 450C)
CaC2+N2 -------->Ca(CN)2+C
Therefore the product of reaction of nitrogen with cac2 is Ca(CN)2
