Hello Jyoti,

If the radius of the circle is increased by 10%, the area is of the circle which is calculated using the formula:

area = pi x r x r

Now consider the radius as 2 cm,

The area is 3.14 x 4 = 12.56 cm^2.

Now if radius is increased by 10%, i.e. it becomes 2.2 cm,

The area becomes 3.14 x 4.84 = 15.20 cm^2.

Thus the area increases by 21%.
