Solution : Total number of students in state B = 1.4 lakh
The ratio of passing and failing in state B = 3 : 4
Number of student passed in state B $= \frac{3}{(3+4)} \times 1.40$ lakh
= 0.6 lakh
Hence, the correct answer is 0.6 lakh.
