Correct Answer: 5 : 8
Solution : Let us denote the salary of Ram by $R$, Shyam by $S$ and Ghanshyam by $G$. According to the question, $R:S = 3:4$ ⇒ $\frac{R}{S} = \frac{3}{4}$ ....(1) Also, $S:G = 5:6$ ⇒ $\frac{S}{G} = \frac{5}{6}$ ......(2) Multiplying (1) and (2), $\frac{R}{S}\times \frac{S}{G} = \frac{3}{4}\times \frac{5}{6}$ ⇒ $\frac{R}{G} = \frac{5}{8}$ Hence, the correct answer is 5 : 8.
