Correct Answer: 32 years

Solution : The ratio of the ages of the two students = 5 : 4
The difference between their ages = 8 years
Let $5x$ and $4x$ be the ages of the two students.
So, $5x-4x = 8$
$⇒x = 8$
Age of the younger student = 4 × 8 = 32 years
Hence, the correct answer is 32 years.
